FAQs
What happens if I have an issue with my equipment during my stay?
We have a “call out” phone, and if you have any issues during your stay with boots or skis or would like to change equipment, just give us a call before 5.30pm and we will come out and make any necessary changes before you hit the slopes in the morning, so again, no time lost on the mountain.

Will I have the same choice as a shop?
I can assure you – you have exactly the same choice as you would in a shop.
We always bring a minimum of 2 pairs of boots for every person – often more, and we fit all the boots to a high standard. If the boots we have on board don’t fit or are not comfortable then we will come back to our base and get more pairs – this is NEVER an issue.
If you try equipment for a day and you don’t like it, no problem, – call us by 5.30pm and we will come and make any changes necessary. If your feet are in agony after your first run, we will even come to the bottom of the slopes to change your boots.
Although our team are well trained and understand the importance of a well-fitting boot and this situation shouldn’t arise – but never say never.
We use all the details you give us, as well as looking at the weather to choose the best most suitable ski for you. If you have a preference, we will always aim to get you that ski or something as similar as possible.
I understand that in a shop, you have the sensation that you have the pick of the bunch, but honestly, in reality, all the skis are pre allocated from reservations in the same way that ours are.
As we like the fittings to be as smooth as possible and for us the fewer call outs the better, our team will spend time with you making sure you are happy. We also buy boots of a good quality and high end to try to reduce foot issues as much as possible.
We have 4 brands of boots to cover all different feet. The only difference with us, is you don’t have to stand in a queue, and you can have a cup of tea or a glass of wine whilst getting your kit organised.
Will you bring more than 1 pair of boots?
We always bring a minimum of 2 pairs of boots for every person – often more and we fit all the boots to a high standard. If the boots we have on board don’t fit or are not comfortable then we will come back to our base and get more pairs – this is NEVER an issue.
When do I pay?
With regards to payment, we take this at the end of your stay. We find that often people want to change equipment, or unfortunately sometimes need to stop early. Therefore, if we take payment at the end of your trip, you will only pay for exactly what you used.
What payment options do you take?
We take card or cash. We prefer cash to avoid bank charges!
What areas do you operate in?
Currently we only operate in the Abondance valley in the Portes du Soleil, Chatel, La Chapelle D’Abondance and Abondance.
